Twitter

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables Laker Hockey to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications.

The Lakers will be “tweeting” from the majority of games allowing Laker fans to keep up on scores and news releases, even when the team is on the road. That way, if you can’t make it to the game, you’ll be able to follow along as if you were there!

Instructions

To receive Laker “tweets”, click here to access the “RSS” feed. Then click Subscribe Now to add the feed to your bookmarks. Now you’ll receive all Laker news that is posted on Twitter!

Facebook

Facebook is a free social networking website that allows users to become “friends” with each other in order to share information. Users can share photos, calendars, video, status updates and more. The Lakers will be posting schedules, wallpapers and groups for home games in order to get the fans more involved!

Instructions

To become friends with the Lakers, sign into your Facebook account, and then add the Lakers as a friend. Now, you’ll receive Laker updates on your Facebook homepage!
